Celebration of Athletes

Where: Whitaker Bank Park
What: Celebration of Athletes (formerly Opening Ceremonies) combined with Lexington Legends vs. Savannah Sand Gnats baseball game. The night will include the lighting of the cauldron and fireworks extravaganza!

*FREE tickets and food vouchers will be available at the registration tent for the first 2,000 registered participants to attend the Legends vs. Savannah Sand Gnats game. Additional tickets for non-participants will be available by calling the Legends ticket office at 859-422-7857.

Athletes Check-in/Registration in Fun Lot outside of Whitaker Bank Park
• Pick up FREE T-shirt
• Pick up FREE food voucher
• Pick up FREE ticket to Legends Baseball game
• Participate in the parade of athletes on the field before the game
• Register for chances to:
* Run on field with the Legends Players prior to the game
* Throw out the first pitch
* Officially declare the Games “Open” at the torch lighting
• Run the bases after the game, plus other between innings fun and games!
• Play in Fun Lot

• Participant drawings for:
* Running on field with Legends Players prior to game for Field of Dreams
* Declaring the Games Open
* Throwing out the first pitch

• Line up to participate in the parade of athletes on the field

• Fun Lot closes
• Go inside Park to redeem your food voucher and find your seats

• Legends Game Begins

• Game ends, Lighting of Cauldron Begins

• Stay and watch the fireworks show!
