RULES: USYSA and USSF rules govern event. Complete tournament rules can be found on the upper right hand side of this screen under “Policies.”

FORMAT: A minimum of two games will be played by each participating team. Depending upon the number of teams entered in each division, play will be by “pool” with the top four teams advancing on points (except for the High School division). Ties at the end of regulation in non-medal games will stand in “pool play”. Referee’s decisions are final.

The U-8 competition will be festival-style with three games guaranteed over the weekend. There will be a winner declared in each game, but there will be no championships. Each participant will receive a ribbon.

ENTRIES: All entries accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Incomplete Youth entries will be returned to sender and not processed until ALL required information is provided to complete the registration (certified rosters and/or birth certificates and/or Kentucky Youth Soccer Association player card listing player.) If you register online, print out a copy of the entry form to keep. Then, you must mail roster with copy of registered Kentucky Youth Soccer Association roster or birth certificates to BGSG office by entry deadline (if not received, your entry may be null and void). Your confirmation email states the division for which you have entered your team. If you enter the wrong division, you will be required to compete in that division. If you are an open team and mistakenly enter a recreational division, you may have to forfeit. Please review all of the forms carefully and completely when submitting your entry. ONLY High School division may delay submitting the completed player rosters until check-in prior to the first game. All divisions may have a maximum number of entries allowed. Entries may also be limited based on availability of fields and certified officials. There must be a minimum of four teams per division in order to play. A Youth team or player may not enter more than one division. A High School player may play either on JV or Varisty, NOT both.

ROSTERS: U-8 rosters may have a maximum of 12 players. U-10 rosters may have a maximum of 14 players. U-12 and up rosters shall have no more than 18 players. Every team must bring an alternate color jersey in case of color conflicts. Numbers are not required on this alternate jersey. All divisions with participants under the age of 18 must have their parent/guardian sign the entry form on the provided line after the child’s name, indicating the parent/guardian has read the medical release and agrees with its contents. For High School divisions, the completed BGSG team entry form and their official KHSAA roster and their participant medical examination forms which include signatures by the parent and the doctor, must be with them at the time of check in and/or time of play.

TEAM REPRESENTATIVE: Every team must submit the name and phone number of a volunteer to act as a team representative for as long as their team participates in the tournament. The duties will begin 45 minutes (30 minutes for U8) before their team’s game and end prior to the start of their team’s game. Team representative will act as a liaison between your team and tournament officials. The entry form will be considered incomplete without this information and therefore will not be processed.
